Lacey
Background:
Professor
Lacey received his Ph.D. in Marketing from the University
of Alabama.
Research:
Professor
Lacey’s research has been accepted for publication
at many peer reviewed marketing journals, including: Journal
of Service Research, Marketing Letters, Journal
of Advertising Research, Journal of Marketing Theory
& Practice, Journal of Business and Industrial
Marketing, Journal of Consumer Marketing,
Journal of Relationship Marketing, Journal
of Marketing Communications, Health Marketing Quarterly,
and Marketing Health Services. He also is a contributor
to the book Relationship Marketing: Gaining Competitive
Advantage through Customer Satisfaction and Customer Retention
and has published in numerous marketing and management conference
proceedings.
Professor
Lacey is currently working on several empirically supported
research studies. He continues to work with other Gulf Coast
marketing researchers to investigate consumer behaviors
in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Working with another
set of scholars, he is studying the effects of event marketing
and sponsorship of events. During the summer of 2008, he
worked with the New Orleans Hornets to complete the data
collection phase to a follow-up study to assess the impact
of community service initiatives on building more committed
customer relationships.

Background:
Professor
Lacey also has accumulated more than 12 years experience
in a variety of strategic marketing management positions
at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City and Baylor
Health Care System, in Dallas Texas.
Teaching:
Professor
Lacey teaches undergraduate and graduate level marketing
courses, including UNO's Executive Masters of Science in
Health Care Management in New Orleans and its MBA program
in San Juan, Puerto Rico. At UNO, Dr. Lacey teaches Strategic
Marketing Management, Advanced Services Marketing Management,
Health Care Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Services Marketing,
and Principles of Marketing. He also has taught at the University
of Alabama and at UNO’s International Summer School
program in Innsbruck, Austria during the summer of 2006.
