Thank
you for visiting the MBA home page at the University of
New Orleans. Over the past six years, we have developed
our graduate business programs to better satisfy the demands
of employers and the needs of serious business students.
Through a process of continuous improvement based on feedback
from students, alumni, and industry executives, we have
instituted various changes in curriculum, course scheduling
and advising to better prepare our professional MBA graduates
for the modern business environment.
Some of these changes include a streamlined foundation core
for non-business undergraduates and new concentrations in
Health Care Management, Marketing, Hotel, Restaurant and
Tourism, International Business, Management Information
Systems, Human Resource Management and Technology Management
to complement our existing concentrations in Finance and
Real Estate Finance.
The UNO MBA program has also grown significantly over this
time period. The Professional program is rapidly approaching
700 students while our EMBA
programs here in New Orleans and in Kingston, Jamaica are
now enrolling 150-200 students. Much of our growth has been
in international students. This past year approximately
20% of our students are from over 50 different countries
around the globe.
With all this growth and expansion to accommodate the global
need for Graduate Business Education, we have not lost sight
of our primary mission to provide a high quality, affordable,
flexible and convenient graduate business education for
the residents of the Metro New Orleans area. Sixty-five
percent of our Professional MBA students are part time students
and full-time employees of local business, government and
other service organizations. We also now offer a Master
of Health Care Management Program and an Executive
Master of Health Care Management Program through the
Executive Education Office
The University of New Orleans Professional MBA student can
complete her or his entire MBA education through evening
classes taught by the same fully qualified, doctoral faculty
as our day and EMBA students. All of UNO's Graduate and
Undergraduate programs are fully accredited by both the
Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SACS) and
the American Assembly of Colleges and Schools of Business
(AACSB). This assures you that the education you receive
at UNO is of the highest caliber and that courses taken
at UNO will be transferable across the United States and
most other countries around the world.
