What is a College of Business Administration L.I.F.E.Opportunities Internship?


The internship that offers unique educational opportunities by which students acquire meaningful work experience while obtaining an academic education. The partnership between intern and organization could present the opportunity that may Link the Internship to Future Employment (L.I.F.E.).

The internship is a 3-hour credit course which permits students to work at least 10 hours per week in the Fall and Spring semesters (15 weeks) and a minimum of 20 hours per week in the Summer semester (8 weeks) at the site of an Internship Partnering Organization. The interns are directed in short and/or long term projects relating to their majors. In most instances interns are compensated.

As a L.I.F.E.Opportunities partner, the organization has the unique opportunity to work with students that have gained knowledge of academic theory in their major.

Students are eager to implement the theory learned in classes to projects that provide meaning work experience under the direction of an internship partner.

The Role of a L.I.F.E Opportunities Internship Partner


The role of the Internship Partner is to provide experience that provides substance to an upperclassman or graduate student in a specific academic area (Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance; Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism, Marketing, Management) that supplements and modifies ideas gained from academic courses.
