Dr. Kevin Watson is an Assistant Professor of Management and Engineering Management at the University of New Orleans. Dr. Watson received his Ph.D. in Operations Management from The University of Georgia in 2002 and holds an M.B.A. from East Tennessee State University and a B.S. from Auburn University. His academic and professional interests involve supply chain management, environmental management, and the theory of constraints. Dr. Watson has published a number of articles in leading academic journals including the Journal of Operations Management, the International Journal of Production Research, Production Planning & Control, and Management of Environmental Quality. He has also worked on several funded research projects, including those sponsored by the U.S. Navy and Veterans Administration under the SPAWAR contract. In recognition of his research contributions, Dr. Watson was awarded the UNO Alumni Association Early Career Achievement Award for Research in 2008.

In addition to his academic work, Dr. Watson has consulted with several Fortune 500 companies designing, reviewing, and evaluating manufacturing and supply chain systems. Dr. Watson is the current Vice President for Education for the New Orleans chapter of APICS and has been recognized for instructional excellence for teaching several of the CPIM certification modules. Along with his wife Jaime, he lives on the Northshore with their three children Eli, Owen, and Wade.
