NEAL
C. MARONEY
Associate
Professor
Ph.D., The Claremont Graduate School, 1996
At
UNO since 1996
Dr. Maroney's research interests are in Investments, International
Finance, and Financial Market Anomalies. His current empirical
research focuses on the information content of accounting
ratios in predicting equity market returns in seven industrialized
countries. In another empirical investigation he is reexamining
the anomolous behavior of equity market returns surrounding
the announcement of stock-splits and dividends. On the
theoretical side, he is working on the question of how
the aging populations of the industrialized world affect
equity market risk premia. As part of this research, he
has developed a numerical algorithm to solve a class of
economic models that had no known solution. Dr. Maroney
teaches undergraduate courses in corporate finance, and
macroeconomics; and teaches an advanced graduate course
in investments.
