Graduating With Honors in Accounting

To graduate with Honors in Accounting, the following requirements must be fulfilled:
  1. Completion of the usual requirements for accounting majors.
  2. Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 in accounting courses and a 3.25 overall.
  3. Complete a minimum of 6 semester hours in non-business courses.
  4. Complete at least 6 semester hours of honors course work in accounting beyond Accounting 2100.
  5. Complete a Senior Honors Thesis consisting of 6 semester hours. These 6 hours replace the 3 hour Accounting Elective and the 3 hour Business Course elective. Acceptance of thesis depends on successful oral defense.
